 A long, long time ago, there was a boy named Fuku-chan who lived in Fukushige village of Omura county. He was strong, witty and quick footed, so that no one could defeat him.
Also, even on days when he would help on the farm, when others got tired, he still played in the evenings every day. During his playtime, he often spent it making mischief in the neighborhood and so his parents worried.
Finally, Fuku chan went too far. He broke into a villager’s important shrine and was then called a trouble-maker. After that, everyone was afraid of him and his parents cried, “He always gives the villagers trouble! What will we do!?”
