 The people of Shigeida haven’t forgotten the tale of young Fuku chan, the Tengu and have special names for rocks in the valleys and mountains where Fuku chan would train. They are named “Tengu flew away” where Tengu took his first steps before flight, “Red Rock” where Tengu dropped blood from his injury, “Tengu’s footprint” where Tengu took his nap and missed training, and “Tengu’s rock” which is where Tengu took his stepped before his last jump. Finally, geographic names like “Tengu Pass”, where Tengu himself passed will be passed down from generation to generation.
